Thanks so much for reading our blog this semester. We didn't know quite what we were in for when it all began, but we've all learned so much about starting a business and about ourselves. We formed ideas and teams, created business models, wrote business plans and pitched them, revised the plans, launched the businesses, created crowd funding campaigns, and reflected on all of it. All in all, a success! So much so that next year we will have a Small Business Startup class again and two new Small Business Management classes. Stay tuned for the next round of students' journeys.
I am so glad that I took this risk, with the help of Melissa Scott for the original idea and the insight of Mike Schneider for the actual implementation. I'm also grateful for Emily Sanderson's support as we try to turn our little Innovation department into...something amazing.
People always tell me that school will never change fast enough for me, which is sadly true (though it's not about me but my children). But in this one class, And for these 18 students, school was DIFFERENT, right away.
